Famous Footballers Who Don’t Have Tattoos 

Footballers with tattoos are a common sight in today’s football world. David Beckham, Lionel Messi, Neymar, Sergio Ramos and many other stars have different eye-catching tattoos on their bodies. 

On the flip side of the coin, renowned Star footballers opt out of getting tattoos due to their personal choices, religious beliefs, blood donations and many other reasons behind it. Stars like Cristiano Ronaldo, Mohamed Salah, Kylian Mbappe, Achraf Hakimi, Rodri and many other footballers have never allowed tattoo needles to touch their bodies. 

Cristiano Ronaldo 

Portuguese football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the greatest characters on and off the field. The way he plays, and the way he demonstrates his aura, absolutely creates a different figure in World football. Despite being one of the greatest footballers of all time and having multiple records, he doesn’t have any tattoos on his body. 

The reason for not having tattoos on his body was Reports from Spanish media revealed that Ronaldo underwent heart surgery when he was just 14 years old, and that experience made him aware of the significant need for blood in hospitals. Since then, he has been inspired to donate blood and has never allowed a tattoo needle to touch his skin. This is because those who have a tattoo, cannot donate blood for a year. 

Ronaldo has been a regular blood donor since he was 24. His first blood donation was to help his national teammate Carlos Martins’ child, who needed blood. Since then, Ronaldo has donated blood at least twice a year.

Mohamed Salah 

When Liverpool is in trouble, hungry for a score, clawing back from disaster, Mohamed Salah appears and saves the team with his style. He is considered not only the greatest player for Liverpool but also reckoned as the greatest player of the English Premier League history. The Egyptian king opts not to have tattoos due to his religious faith. Salah is Muslim and tattoos are strictly forbidden in Islam. 

Kylian Mbappe 

French International and Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappe is a proven character on the football pitch. Playing with his natural flow, speed, dribbling and strength made him one of the best in today’s football world. His ball-playing ability and shrewd run always frighten the defenders. He’s previously practised Christianity and he refuses to needle any tattoos on his body.

Rodri 

If you are watching football from 2024 or even before, you must adhere to one character who won everything possible and that is Rodri. He has done everything with the ball for Manchester City and his own country, Spain. Being a holding midfielder Rodri rules the roost of the game for his team and creates space for the forwards to score. 

However, Rodri does not have any tattoos on his fine and fit body. “He doesn’t have tattoos or earrings. With his hair, he looks like a holding midfielder! A holding midfielder must be like this, think about the rest.”  Pep Guardiola said about Rodri in 2019.

Achraf Hakimi 

Hakimi is one of the greatest right-backs in the world as he shone the most resistance himself in the backline. His greatness and charisma led Morocco to the 2022 World Cup semi-finals. Meanwhile, like others on this list, Hakimi is Muslim, meaning tattoos are a major sin and forbidden in Islam.
